This car is a
reflection of the idea that art should not only be designated to areas like
galleries and studios. The artwork has several themes including Pac-Man,
Where's Waldo, Space Invaders, Tetris, Mario and others, all weaved together in
a comprehensive abstraction. The vehicle was stripped of its clear coat,
brought into my studio and for the next 160 hours (11 days total), it was drawn
on with paint pens by artist Ted Mikulski. The clear coat was put back on
and it is now sealed as a permanent piece of art. The work was unveiled at
the New Britain Museum of American Art in July of 2010. It is no longer a
car.
The car is in the possession of the artist.
